Before downloading a free evaluation copy of Trooper 2.04, please review the system requirements and installation instructions below. If you prefer, you can order the evaluation software on CD-ROM for $6 plus $4 S&H (media cost is non-refundable).

These links both download the same file but use different protocols. If you have trouble with one link you might try the other.
With this evaluation copy, you will see only two notable changes in the program from the full version. The Troop Number will default to 999, and a banner message will display on the top of all reports. Other than that, both versions are identical. There is no time limit on the evaluation copy.
Best of all, if you decide you like Trooper and place your order, we will e-mail you a registration key to unlock the evaluation version...there's nothing else to download or install, and your data is already entered!
If you are upgrading from a previous version of Trooper, please read these important instructions on upgrading, including instructions for downloading a utility to import your data into the new version.
This self-extracting installation file will unzip four disk images into a Trooper folder in the directory of your choice, and offer to run Setup for you. If you wish to run Setup yourself, it is located in the Disk1 folder. These disk images are not deleted after installation, in case you would like to copy them to floppy disks later (as per the Distribution License in the product you may distribute this software to other members of your troop). You may delete these folders later if you wish.
That's about all there is to it! The "readme" file shown during installation contains additional information on installing the sample data provided. Also, when you first run Trooper, its help file will open to a "Welcome" topic. This screen contains information that will help you get started using Trooper, including tips on where to begin and how to enter data.
